An Interesting Post From ImprovedTouring.Com
"I want to say that I have raced SCCA for about 35yrs.. That means that I am an old cooter for sure, but also that I have seen a lot of customer relations issues with SCCA. It was so bad that my Son and I left the fold for a while.
Anyhow. My recent last two events with the CFR has been very nice. WE had a student that hurt his car and needed to finish a race for his permit. Could have been a long , big problem between tech and scoring. The tech guys looked at the logbook and called the scoring people for a valid race #.( The car was already teched). The driver made the next session . It has turned from , how many hoops can we get you to jump through to , how can we make this happen?? Nice.
We got rained out for the race on Sat. Reg let us run for the combined price on Sun. Again, went out of the way to make our experience easy and more fun.
Thanks to all involved from Protech, Michael and Mike Ogren"

CFR-SCCA Tire Rack Street Survival School
On October 2rd, CFR will again host a Street Survival School for 15-22-year-old kids holding a Florida driving permit or license. 15-year-old permit holders must have held their permits for at least 6 months.
The one-day school will take place at the Seminole State College Police Training Facility property in Geneva, Fl. Both classroom sessions and “hands-on” driving exercises are scheduled, with the emphasis on hands-on experience. A coach/instructor will be provided for each student and he or she will ride with the student as they go through each exercise.
Driving exercises to exhibit vehicle control such as “turn and brake”, dry and wet skid pad and transition maneuvers will used so that the student becomes aware of how their street car will react to sudden changes in direction due to emergency steering/braking inputs and changing weather conditions. Parents/Grandparents are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Water and soda will be available throughout the day and lunch (pizza), will be available to all attendees.
Parents wishing to register their child should go to the Street Survival website (www.streetsurvival.org) where they can get further information, complete the registration form, and pay the entrance fee ($75.00) for this school.
